Associate Product Manager | Email System - Deliverability
Responsibilities:
- Manage email infrastructure effectively.
- Help clients improve inbox placement rates and maximize email ROI.
- Investigate and resolve deliverability issues, including bounces, spam complaints, and blacklisting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with ISPs and email providers for optimal inbox placement.
- Ensure compliance with email laws and regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR).
- Keep the platform updated on email marketing best practices and regulations.
- Conduct audits and reviews of email-sending practices.
Perfect Fit- A minimum of 3 years of work experience in a data-driven email deliverability role.
- Identifying and resolving deliverability issues requires a methodical approach to troubleshooting and a knack for critical thinking.
- Familiarity with DNS & authentication protocols (e.g., DKIM, SPF, DMARC).
- Ability to run and analyze email deliverability reports and make data-driven recommendations.
- Experience with ESPs like Mailgun, SendGrid, and third-party deliverability vendors, like Return Path/Validity and 250OK.
- Working knowledge of DNS record types, Google Postmaster & SNDS.
- Understanding of bounce handling and categorization.
- Experience in communicating with ISP abuse desks and email blocklist providers for preemptive and reactive mitigations.
- A grasp of how email servers and ISPs operate, including the nuances of IP warming and reputation management.
- A thorough understanding of email-related laws and regulations, such as -CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and CCPA, is essential for ensuring that campaigns are legally compliant.
- Ability to document troubleshooting and problem-resolution steps.
