Job Title: Plant Operations Manager
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Plant Operations Manager to oversee and manage our manufacturing facility. The Plant Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the plant, meeting production targets, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in operations.
Responsibilities -
- Develop and implement operational strategies and plans to achieve production targets while ensuring product quality, cost efficiency, and adherence to safety standards.
- Manage and optimize production processes, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating production activities to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess plant performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Lead a team of supervisors and operators, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a culture of operational excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain, to streamline processes, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage the plant budget, control costs, and identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, food safety standards, and company policies and procedures.
- Implement and maintain effective systems for inventory control, production planning, and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in food manufacturing to drive innovation and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (Min 5 years) in plant operations management within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of food manufacturing processes, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a data-driven approach.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in using manufacturing software systems and tools.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is desirable.
