Health & Safety Officer - Cement Plant

Candidates having experience in Cement Manufacturing Industry is mandatory.

Role Overview:

Role : Health & Safety Officer,

Company Name : For a leading Cement Plant Engineering MNC. (German Based)

Location : Dubai

Role & Responsibility:

- Primarily responsible for the coordination and definition of health and safety related strategies and standards

- Implementing of health and safety standards, guidelines, regulations and trainings

- First contact for customers and plant managers in regard to health and safety procedures

- Development and implementation of emergency plans

- Implementation of local safety policies with respect to the government law

- Establishing safety programs and safe working practices

- Setting up training programs for plant staff

- Carrying out threat and accident analysis

- Continuous identification of improvement possibilities

- Creation of preventive health & safety measures

- Definition and coordination of safety equipment

- Establishment of a risk assessment processes

- Execution of plant audits and inspections with regard to health and safety

- Ensure the plant equipment is installed correctly and safe

- Organisation of annual health and safety meetings

- Regular reporting to the Executive Board

- Comply with all relevant company and statutory environmental, health and safety procedures and guidelines

Requirements:

- University degree in Health & Safety Management or comparable education

- Several years’ experience in the cement industry or related sector in a position of appropriate responsibility

- Experience in managing health and safety operations of plants

- Good understanding of all phases of a production process and its relation to health and safety regulations

- Excellent negotiation, communication, analytical and interpersonal skills

- Strong knowledge of modern health & safety laws and methods

- Good understanding of safety and environmental regulations

- Confident manner in dealing with customers and plant staff

- Sound communication skills, an outstanding ability to work in a team and a confident manner

- Very good MS-Office skills

- Business-fluent spoken and written English

- Further languages skills would be an advantage

- Willingness to travel to various locations
