Firmwide Sourcing , Senior Sourcing Manager
Responsibilities
- Manage the local sourcing function in India
- Lead the planning and development of procurement strategies for certain commodities including: Design and Office Fitout, Travel, Human Resources, and Facilities Management
- Develop category and sourcing strategies by identifying opportunity areas such as demand management, supplier consolidation, changes in purchase processes.
- Maintain up-to-date commercial and contractual knowledge of the market place and methods to ensure that best practices are continually developed and utilized within the group
- Identify new purchasing opportunities and supplement existing skill set as required.
- RFx development and analysis of responses
- Vendor Management – develop appropriate service level agreements and resolve vendor/internal issues using a business approach
- Develop and recommend changes in operating practices and or policies to increase operational efficiency
- Assist in the development of a global corporate sourcing strategy and lead local/regional initiatives which identify and overcome any local or country specific tax or regulatory requirements or other such constraints
Experience required
The successful candidate will have at least 10 years of relevant business experience, including multi-national corporate exposure. In addition, experience working abroad and a wide range of industry contacts is beneficial.
- Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
- Language: Written and spoken fluency in English are required
- Communication skills: Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills
- PC Skills: Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
- Experience - experience in the following areas:
- strategic sourcing, category management, contract negotiation
- performance measurement, project management, vendor management
- Experience in the Financial Services sector preferred
- Proven success sourcing in countries across the Asia region preferred
- Strong analytical, writing and critical thinking skills – successful candidate must be able to analyze offers, business cases (including financial reports), processes and present a summary quantifying differences in a clear concise manner
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
- Organizational and project management skills
- Strong negotiating skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly
