Category Manager - D2C
Position Summary :
- We are looking for a Category Manager to manage the P&L for a group or category of products for our company. Your goal will be to increase sales and profitability of the set category business to drive sustainable growth. You will be responsible for the portfolio of products and how they show up for the consumer in their entire journey from awareness to discovery to purchase and delivery and will constantly strive for a best-in-class experience for the customer that drives preference and loyalty. You should be able to pinpoint customer/shopper trends and understand the advanced principles of category management. A top-notch category manager will be persuasive, sales-driven, goal-oriented, and excellent at selling their ideas to consumers and stakeholders.
Responsibilities : - Responsible for mapping the overall strategy of the identified category for the brand and managing the P&L
- Analyzing the current trends and forecasting future consumer trends basis seasonality, environment/external factors, demand, competitor analysis, future trends, etc for the respective categories
- Devise long-term developmental strategies for product categories and exit categories, as required
- Plan the product range and inventory and accordingly create and execute vendor relationships effectively
- Determine the product availability, visibility, and category mix in order to best meet customer demands
- Strategize the overall positioning of the products to enhance visibility in both online and retail formats
- Collaborate with the cross-functional teams to determine what needs or behaviors are driving category sales, perform an analysis of the changes to be implemented in order to improve customer experience, and in turn drive category growth.
