Head - Warehouse & Logistics - Carbon Black Manufacturer

We have an urgent opening with one of the largest carbon black manufacturer in India.

ROLE PURPOSE

Responsible for the Warehouse & Logistic department and activities, meeting the objectives of volume, quality, efficiency, safety, minimum cost, environmental and housekeeping, in accordance with the company rules and internal procedure, instructions and objectives concerning his area of responsibility, leading the warehouse and logistic personnel, complying and enforcing and assuring the compliance of the objectives of his subordinates.

KRAS:

OBJECTIVE (AREA) :

- Monitoring Packing process & finished product

- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security

- Monitoring the movement of goods outward

- Packaging inventory management

- Effective control over workmen and subordinates

- Forklift management

- Physical verification of FG and Packaging material

- OTIF for domestic tyre customers with customer satisfaction.

- Safe workplace

- Premium freight payment

- Truck placement and monitoring of in transit trucks.

HOW

(METHODS OF ACHIEVEMENT)

- Ensures packing material availability Ensures that the packing plan is followed. Ensures that SOP for packing/conversion is followed and discussed with workmen.

- Ensures that machine PM schedule is followed. Ensures that machine-related issues are raised and resolved timely. Ensures packaging quality.

- Briefing of safety requirements to workmen. Ensures that SOP talk is done in shifts.

- Ensures machine calibration in a shift before the start of packing. Ensures that the machine PM schedule is followed.

- Packaging material procurement as per consumption trend and lead time. Follow up with the Purchase department.

- Proper work allocation and constant supervision Cordial relation with contract workmen.

- Regular training to contract workmen for SOP, clean bag importance and safety.

- Supports team members in preparation of MIS for the department.

- Ensures packaging material booking in SAP. Ensures physical verification of FG monthly basis. Any issue resolved.

- Takes part in dispatch plan with QA/WH in absence of Head WH & Log. Timely indent to the transporter for truck/container placement. To ensure placement of trucks/containers as per plan. For any issue discusses with Head and HO. Ensure good condition of truck and tarpaulin /container for loading with all relevant vehicle documents. Coordination with QA / WH for loading of FG. Ensures proper documentation and release of the vehicle along with all relevant documents.

- Briefing of plant safety requirements to truck/container drivers

- Release of trucks as per standard weight chart.

- Daily monitoring of vehicle placement against the plan.

- Monthly overall placement >95%.

- GPS tracking for CEAT and MRF

- WH locations.

- Supports team members in preparation of MIS for the department.

- Providing freight rates to respective transport in time. Shipment cost booking
