Job Description: Head of Visual Merchandising

Position Overview:

As the Head of Visual Merchandising (VM), you will be the driving force behind creating visually appealing and captivating in-store experiences for our retail apparel brand. Your creative flair, strategic thinking, and leadership skills will be instrumental in enhancing brand presence, driving sales, and ensuring a consistent and impactful visual representation across all stores.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute a comprehensive VM strategy aligned with the brand's objectives and customer expectations.

- Translate brand guidelines into innovative and engaging visual displays that resonate with our target audience.

- Oversee the layout, design, and presentation of products within stores to maximize aesthetic appeal and optimize customer flow.

- Collaborate with the projects team to create store layouts that enhance the overall shopping experience.

- Conceptualize and design captivating window displays that draw customers in and showcase our latest collections.

- Create dynamic in-store displays that tell a story and inspire customers to explore the store.

- Ensure products are presented cohesively and in alignment with brand aesthetics, reflecting the latest trends.

- Collaborate with the merchandising team to curate collections and assortments that resonate with target audiences.

- Manage and mentor the VM team, fostering creativity, teamwork, and professional growth.

- Provide guidance on design concepts, execution techniques, and industry best practices.

- Establish and communicate VM guidelines to ensure consistency across all stores and outlets.

- Conduct regular store visits and audits to ensure adherence to visual standards.

- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor VM strategies, and emerging technologies.

- Integrate innovative ideas and technologies to keep the brand's VM approach fresh and cutting- edge.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and store managers, to align VM efforts with promotional activities and campaigns.

- Effectively communicate VM strategies and expectations to ensure a unified brand experience.

- Periodically identify the top sellers and simultaneously preparing and implementing the strategies to sell low performing categories.

- Checking the category contribution of each merchandise and implement the VM design in a manner which gives the required visibility to each category and assists in improving the bottom selling categories.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Visual Merchandising, Fashion Design, Marketing, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.

- Proven experience of at least 5 Years as a Visual Merchandising Manager or Head of VM in the retail apparel industry.

- Strong creative and artistic skills with a keen eye for detail and design aesthetics.

- Leadership and team management experience, with the ability to inspire and guide a creative team.

- Proficiency in design software and tools such as Adobe Creative Suite , photoshop , illustrator, or other visual design tools

- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey visual concepts and ideas.

- Strong analytical mindset to evaluate the effectiveness of VM strategies.

- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects across different locations.

- Passion for fashion and a deep understanding of customer preferences.

- Flexibility for travel to stores and locations as required.

- Analyze sales reports and survey results.

- Monitors own work to ensure quality.
