Description :
- The individual will have the vision and drive necessary to develop and lead our design team, both creatively and commercially.
- The role shall demand regular interaction & management of internal teams (Designers Developers, Business Development), external stakeholders (Clients & Vendors), and direct reporting to Senior Head of Design & Management (Directors).
- With experience in managing people, he/she will enjoy being involved in the day to day whilst maintaining the ability to consider the bigger picture.
Responsibilities :
- Work with principal stakeholders & decision-makers in client organizations to understand their Business/Organization Goals, User/Customer Behavior, and creating Design Roadmaps & Strategies for their Services & Products.
- Collect & analyse Business Requirements, create Design briefs & proposals, convert sales inquiries into projects.
- Lead prioritisation discussions with leadership teams, defining scope, budget, timelines and resource allocation.
- Lead the Design Studio & projects to on-time and quality delivery as agreed by the client.
- Guide excellent design delivery, with a thorough understanding of UX & UI Design.
- Work closely with Frontend & backend development, Content & Communication, Digital Marketing and other teams to ensure the success of the projects.
- Raise and negotiate issues and risks with senior management of the client.
- Manage profitability of the projects & design studio.
- He/she needs to guide team members well and facilitate their constant learning in the organization.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest achievements, best practices and trends in design.
- Establish best practices and design-thinking processes across the organization.
Expectations :
- Minimum 8+ years of core UX & UI Design experience.
- At least 3 years of experience leading and managing a small to the medium design team (20 to 40 Members).
- Should have led at least 6 product design client projects hand-on, involving UX & UI Design teams, Front end development teams.
- Should have led & delivered at least 1 client project in CX or Service Design.
- Experience in UX & UI Design for web, mobile & TV.
- Should be willing to travel for short/long durations in India and abroad for work.
- Thought Leader in Strategic UX Design.
- Ability to decode complex technical content
- Be an inspiring Design leader & mentor to teams.
- Should be rooted in Bangalore for the long term, and excited to grow the Delhi team.
- Confident & excellent Communication skills.
- Entrepreneurial in nature.
- Enjoys Leadership & Management.
- Extensive experience with a variety of graphic design and interactive tools such as Illustrator, Sketch, Figma, HTML/JS/CSS, InVision, Principle, and After Effects.
- The ability to conduct Design Workshops with leadership teams from Clients is mandatory.
- Hold the capability to speak at industry forums, represent company for the purpose of Sales, Marketing & PR.
- People Management Skills need to be excellent.
- Understanding of Finance (Sales, Revenue, Cash, Expense, Profit) is mandatory.
- Excellent time-management skills and the ability to quickly prioritize tasks.
- Must communicate clearly and effectively; strong analytical and oral communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills.
