Head - Treasury Audit - BFS

Role Details

Prime responsibility would be to lead internal audits of the integrated treasury encompassing all the functions - Front office, Middle office, Market Risk, Back office and for all the products including Forex, Derivatives, FIMM, etc. other central office functions like Enterprise risk management, Basel normsadherence, ICAAP, etc.

Overall Job Description

The role would include the following:

- Develop and execute an audit plan for the Bank's treasury and risk management to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices on an ongoing basis

- Identify and assess risks related to treasury activities, including liquidity risk, market risk, and credit risk, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.

- Establish and maintain robust internal control procedures to safeguard the Bank's assets and prevent fraudulent activities within the treasury and risk departments

- Lead a team of auditors responsible for conducting regular audits and reviews of treasury and risk functions,

- Prepare detailed audit reports with findings and recommendations for improvements, communicate these findings to senior management and the Board of Directors and track compliance for closure of reports

- Collaborate with the Bank's risk management, compliance, and finance departments to ensure a coordinated approach to risk management and compliance in treasury and risk operations

- Leverage technology and data analytics to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of audit processes, including the use of data mining and forensic analysis

- Provide training and development opportunities for audit staff to keep them informed about evolving audit techniques and financial products in the treasury sector

- Possess strong communication skills to explain audit findings, recommendations, and risk assessments to non-technical stakeholders

- Oversight the concurrent audits of the treasury and risk areas providing assistance to the central internal audit function for carrying out audits pertaining to various other units/area
