Head of Transformation Office
1. JOB DETAILS:
Position Title: Head of Transformation Office
Reports to: Executive Director
Division: Transformation Office
2. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Key Roles & Responsibilities, Performance Tracking & Reporting:
- Understand the expectations of senior leadership teams in terms of key metrics and business processes to review, their frequency and cadence
- Work with functional teams to design the right set of performance dashboards for reporting of business performance metrics
- For the identified metrics and dashboards, ensure the that transformation team builds the relevant data architecture and governance processes at functional level that allows for continuous and automatic updates
- Socialize dashboards and key insights with senior leadership teams, brief them before key reviews and prioritize business meetings for them based on dashboard indicators
- Ensure the transformation team creates executive visualizations of dashboards for senior leadership and work with IT / MIS to ensure deployment on laptop/ mobile devices
Governance & Review Cadence:
- Define and follow a structured review cadence (weekly) with functional teams to discuss performance gaps and identify actions to drive improvement
- Ensure regular update meetings with senior leadership to update on business performance across key metrics
- Drive follow through of actions identified during reviews, flag escalation / deviations to senior management
- Team Structure ; Report directly to the executive directors & coordinates and work closely with business functions leads within the organization
- Manage and supervise a team of lead business analysts & develop a high-caliber team through effective recruitment, training, coaching and mentoring
3. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Experience: 8-10 years of relevant work experience
- Leadership position in transformation office / Chairman's office roles in other large companies / conglomerates
- Sr. Manager/AVP from strategy teams of large companies (e.g. TSMG, Mahindra Strategy, etc.)
Minimum Qualifications:
- MBA from IIMs/XLRI/FMS; Engineering from a top-tier university / CA with good quality experience
4. KEY CAPABILITIES:
- Ability to analyze and synthesize complex data using one or more of modern BI & visualization tools
- Able to translate analysis into insights, initiatives and business implications
- Distill complex results or processes into simple, clear visualizations/dashboards
- Strong project/team management skills including running tight governance cadence with business teams
- Managing teams /working directly with senior stakeholders
- Experience in both operations (factory / manufacturing) and to GTM (sales, marketing) during past stints
6. EXPERIENCE:
Experience in functions like Chairman's Office, Transformation Office, Centre of Excellence (at times, similar profiles are also within "Strategy functions")
- Target co's
- Large co's with stable Chairman's Office teams: (both at group level and within individual co's in the group)
- Building materials co's /Other similar sized co's with central teams
Looking for a candidate who:
- Is a self starter and can drive reviews, governance and follow-up on action independently
- Has some past exposure in both sales + manufacturing / ops
