Our Client, a Leading Financial Services group based at Mumbai is looking out for a Head to manage its business solutioning group.

The individual should be a B.E/B.Tech/ MBA with 15 + years of professional experience in broking industry in technology/operations role.

Job Role :

The key responsibility of the Business Solution Group (BSG) is to understand the business requirements and translate/articulate these in terms of appropriate technology solutions with the aim of ensuring business growth and scalability. This role entails of owning the complete technology stack related to the broking business and ensure efficient implementation of platform solutions along with the team of skilled business analysts and testers.

The key domain area for this BSG vertical is Broking/Trading in Indian securities on stock exchanges like NSE, BSE, MCX etc.

Key Responsibility Areas :

- Define Business Solutions Roadmap in collaboration with the IT Head & other counterparts like (Business Solutions Group leads, Tech Architect, Data Architect) taking into account strategic growth plans of Broking/Trading Business and Technology blueprint of the organization.

- Understand the regulatory requirements along with compliance, operations & other stakeholders to craft-out efficient and scalable solutions on technology platforms with vendors.

- Managing expectations and aspirations of broking and trading business to ensure efficient, relevant and timely solutions.

- Monitor and review internal processes for project management and execution periodically, and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency

- Ensure BSG leads collaborate with business teams to gather and articulate the requirements and evaluation parameters for business solutions rollout

- Keep abreast with the technology strategy of competitors, the latest developments in broking, and trends in the fast-evolving fintech sector

- Identify and review of best technology solutions based on business requirements and integrate into to the overall echo system of the broking tech architecture. Project Planning and Implementation

- Ensure business analyst within the team collaborate with other vertical leads and BSG counterparts of respective businesses to determine the overall project scope and commercials the project.

- Engage in commercial negotiations with vendor to finalize the costing of solutions and get it approved from required authorities in the organization

- Oversee coordination and communication with vendor & stakeholders during implementation phase.

- Review project progress against the project plan on an on-going basis. Identify possible project risks and bottlenecks, suggest solutions and remedial measures to manage them Testing and User Adoption

- Oversee the creation of relevant use cases that test the functionality of IT solutions from an end user and business perspective

- Oversee roll-out of regular FATs (Functional Acceptance Tests) to check functionality and resolution of bugs identified

- Ensure trainings and handholding of end-users in the operations environment to develop adoption and consumption of the new platform/changes rolled out on the platform.

- Ensure feedback from end users is reviewed and incorporated into the course corrections made to the system Stakeholder Management/Team Management

- Collaborate with business heads to understand the forward-looking trends and strategy for their respective businesses, their products, operations and processes

- Manage expectations and aspirations of each business while prioritizing technology requirements of different businesses

- Attract and retain high quality talent for ensuring high standards of service and delivery

- Set and review performance metrics, standards and cascade operational goals to drive alignment and achievement of team objectives

- Provide technical and functional guidance to team members on an on-going basis Functional & Technical Experience

- Very good understanding of broking processes at front office, mid-office and back-office.

- Hands on experience with broking platforms for front office and back office such as NEST, Class etc., Salesforce

- Sound understanding of technical architecture of broking systems in India and interfacing to NSE, BSE, MCX, NSDL, CDSL

- Experience and understanding of API interfacing for web and mobile application development for trading.

- Exposure to Payment Gateway integration and processes.
