Job Title: Head – Technology Center

Location: Coimbatore

Qualification preference: BE or B Tech or BS or ME or M Tech in mechanical specialization

Soft skills: Team building, Communication & Leadership

Experience: 20+ yrs

- Responsible for concept to product launch

- New product design and development

- Design for Manufacturability concepts

- Design validation, Value Engineering and enhancing product performance

- Creating a framework for Innovation, future products and technologies

- Developing new ideas from both product and process perspective

- Product planning and development, Quality control, Handling Customer complaints. Conducting trials

- Leading a team of over 70 engineers – Mechanical, Electrical, CAD etc.

- Make sure that practices comply to company policies and procedures

- Make sure the management objectives are achieved in stipulated time

- Organize the resources according to the project needs

- Facilitate team communication with other entities.

- Creative and entrepreneurial

- Plan and manage appropriate process diagnostics to identify and prioritize the re-engineering opportunities

- Bridging gaps between product and market needs. Have sound knowledge of design standards

Team size is 80 engineers. Candidate should have strong R & D back ground from Pumps industry. Company has Electrical and Mechanical design divisions. Mechanical division has industrial and Domestic / agricultural sub divisions. Should be strong from concept to Launch. Current turnover is 1000 crores. Looking at 3000 crores in 5 years’ time.
