Head - Technology Architect - BFSI Sector - IIT/BITS/NIT

Position : Head Technology ( I T )

Preferred Industry : Sector : BFSI - Fintech (Lending)

Summary of the Role:

As Head - Architect and oversee the building of the entire technology platform for all aspects of the loan process, viz., application, automated decision, 3rd party financial data-source integration, loan life-cycle management, data-driven learning algorithms; among others. Would be responsible for the complete technical direction and delivery of the product.

Education : B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science/IT from Tier 1 Engineering Institute)

Experience & Required Skills : 

- Experienced IT professional having over 15+ years of experience in diverse technologies, with proven experience as a CTO, senior Tech lead or similar leadership role, of which a minimum of 5 years should be in a managerial or leadership role, within the financial services (banking) / Fintech sectors .

- 5+ years of experience of building large-scale digital products within a high growth, global, matrix environment

- 5+ years in developing solution architecture and/or leading engineering teams for digital product development and complex (enterprise) system integration projects

- Proven ability to set technical vision and build the technical product road-map from launch to scale; Drive continuous product improvement; Effectively align resources to achieve key business priorities, including appropriate scope, high quality and timely product releases

- Should be well versed with Start-up working culture, especially working with small and remote teams

- Experience in all facets of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, designing, coding, testing, deployment and production support.

- Experience in integrating with APIs like eKYC, banking payment systems, third party APIs, market automation etc.

- Experience with technology relative to industry; .Net, C#. Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, jQuery, Angular, AWS, IIS, Apache, GitHub, Grunt/Gulp, Node. JS, Java/C, PHP.

- Must be hands-on with writing code and highly capable to help the team with any technical problem and ability to delegate efficiently.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience. Engaging and influencing peers and executives.

- Understanding of Cloud infra, exposure of AWS or AZURE.

- Extensive experience in architect both tech and cloud platforms.

- Experience with or exposure to multi-tier website development using programming (like java, C++, Python and Dot net etc) and web technologies (like PHP, Js node etc).

- Hands on experience in developing applications in iOS, Android, Web, Windows.

- Must be familiar with advanced principles of object-oriented analysis, design and programming.

- Sound knowledge of relational databases, including schema design and advanced queries.

- Understanding of any project management tools like JIRA or others.

- Understanding of Whispering agent and chatbot exposure will be added advantage.

Roles and Responsibilities : 

Should have strong experience in a product development and deployment in a technology enabled consumer facing offering/platform, preferably in the banking/ Fintech domain.

- Head the Technology team consisting of developers, testers and UX designers - and ensure good release management to deliver the product road-map with high speed and quality.

- Create, manage and evolve the technical architecture for the company and which will include the Loan Management system, Credit decisioning engine, payment platforms, third party integration etc.

- Own and evolve the product's technology architecture and development stack while keeping in mind the needs of the business, evolving product feature requirements, security, scalability & maintainability.

- Work with Functional heads to translate the company vision into scalable, efficient and robust technical products in the lending space, that excite customers and partners

- Establish team metrics for measurement of engineering and operational excellence. Implement a consistent, regular process for assessment and improvement.

- Identifying project technical risks and providing technical expertise and ownership in the diagnosis and resolution of an issue, including the determination and provision of workaround solution or escalation.
