Head - Technology

Head of Technology is the crtical role, as a senior person will be responsible for the complete technology division with in the Licious.

- Have working experience in designing enterprise architecture using Python.

- at least 1-2 years of previous experience as VP of engineering/Head of technology / CTO from START UP

- Have experience in creating and managing the product road map of the company to build the technology.

Look out for a candidate between 9-12 years working experience in a startup.

The Role - Head of Technology AT LICIOUS

Licious is looking for a talented Head of Technology who wants to build and scale a path-breaking product and is skilled at shipping products that consistently delight users. You will lead the core engineering team and play a decisive role in defining the roadmap of the company. Early grounding at an industry-leading - academy- company followed by a high-growth product startup would be valuable and relevant work experience.

You should be a full-stack architect and manager, who brings solid technical understanding of multiple back-end, mobile-web platforms. You should also have had experience in leading a small team (10- 17) of engineers to build a highly scaled-up back-end platform and/or mobile application.

Mandatory Skills:

- Full-stack experience with one or more web development frameworks (e.g. Angular/React/Ember/etc. on the front end, Django/Rails/Node/etc. on the backend)

- Expertise with Python, JavaScript, and SQL

WHAT YOU- LL BE DOING

- From the get-go, you will work with the existing team to develop and improve the platform and infrastructure, scale the customer-facing aspects of the product, finesse the operations vertical of the business, collect and store data for analysis and presentation, and design and build applications to use this data in various ways.

- You will help in the planning of the existing architecture and product deliverables, as well as the design and development of entirely new projects.

- Most of all, you will be part of a team embarking on something new, different, and impactful at Licious.

INITIAL RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

- Partner with our Product Management team to define product specs and build prototypes to test hypotheses

- Lead a team of backend, front-end, and mobile developers to ensure delivery of a scalable stack with testing frameworks and instrumentation appropriately factored in

- Architect the platform for scale and handling millions of transactions with low latency and low failure rates

- Improving our backend infrastructure and database schema to help Licious better utilize operations and customer data (including migrations, optimizing for performance, logging events and actions, improving the reporting and job management system, and improving our internal dashboards)

- Creating additional internal systems to expose this data to front end applications.

- Building entirely new applications to extract valuable insights from existing data

- Improving upon existing front end applications for optimizing the customer journey

- Improve the operations stack in the company to manage our processing and fulfillment centers

WE- D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

- Experience with modern software development.

- Familiarity with deployments on cloud infrastructure

- Comfort with multiple programming paradigms and their best practices

- Experience-laced CS knowledge (algorithms and data structures, computing systems - preferably - NIX architecture, application knowledge)

- Knowledge of web standards and modern frameworks

- Familiarity with mobile development paradigms and their associated environments

- Familiarity with consumer privacy and payments industry compliance requirements

- Strong team management and cross-functional collaboration abilities

- Strong communication and documentation skills

- A dedication to building things (show us what you- re proud of)! An open and inquisitive mind.

NICE TO HAVES:

- Expertise with Python, JavaScript, and SQL

- Knowledge of modern web development concepts (e.g. RESTful services, MVC architecture, Agile development)

- An understanding of Supply Chain Management

- Prior experience in building ERP solutions in manufacturing environments

- Exposure to business theory, business process development, governance processes, management, budgeting, and administrative operations
