Head - Taxation - for one of the Top 5 Real estate companies in India QUALIFICATIONS: CA (Mandatory) DESIRED EXPERIENCE: - Around 15+ years of experience in Direct and Indirect Taxation (more focus on Indirect Taxation) - Candidate should have worked with a large corporate house (Real estate sector) with multiple entities in the group. KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Assisting in the Direct and Indirect Taxation matters of the group companies. - Should possess in depth knowledge and strong domain expertise in the area of direct tax laws to ensure that all direct and Indirect tax related compliances including advance tax, filing of tax returns, making submissions to revenue authorities for the group cases are carried out smoothly. - Should have hands on experience in handling taxation matters at assessment and appellate level and experience in liaising with tax auditors, tax consultants and revenue authorities. - Compute taxes; prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other Direct tax related requirements. - Ensure Statutory Compliances and Audit Compliances for all Direct tax related transactions. - Liaison with statutory auditors and ensure completion of audits within agreed timelines. - Experience of handling notices, rectifications, follows up for refunds, PAN / TAN applications etc. - Should have in depth knowledge of TDS and withholding tax matters and should be able to supervise the TDS related compliances & lower/NIL withholding order from tax offices. - Experience in complying with transfer pricing regulations, attending transfer pricing audits and assessments. KEY SKILLS: The incumbent should have experience of working in large organization and having good intellectual communication and interpersonal skills. Hands on experience of working on SAP will be an added advantage.
