Head of Sustainability

The Head of Sustainability will be responsible for setting up sustainability function and associated strategy. Work closely with key business unit to embed sustainability into business operations and board-level priorities. The role requires innovative thinkers that can work with our data scientists to process and interpret data in a way that offers value to our clients and helps navigate the complexities of value chain initiatives.

Job Content

- Setting up the sustainability function and associated including processes, policies, governance, and multi-stakeholder projects (PPPs)

- Design creative, holistic solutions to agricultural value chain bottle-necks core to the business model connecting CO to smallholder farmers whilst earning revenue

- Plan and manage corporate responsibility and sustainability related activities for Co

- Head projects for better farmer engagement, better postharvest handling, good agricultural practices, and sustainability

- To engage with Co leadership teams and to ensure understanding of shared value within the communities

- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of sustainability programs, and when needed, recommending changes to close strategic gaps

- Developing communication materials for staff regarding a company's sustainability goals

- Coordinate with donor's and spot opportunities related to growth and investment in businesses

- Job Requirements

- Professionally mature with sound judgment and the ability to gain immediate credibility by provision of counsel / insight to senior leadership on a reactive and proactive basis

- Experience in agricultural supply chains / food sector and in international business

- Self-directed and adaptable and willingness to work outside office hours when required

Salary : Annual Saving Potential of 120k US$
