Head- Sustainability

Summary: The Head of Sustainability will play a critical role in shaping and driving the company's sustainability agenda, ensuring alignment with best practices and sustainability standards. The role holder will develop and implement comprehensive sustainability strategies that integrate environmental, social, and economic considerations across the business. This position is essential for advancing the company's commitment to sustainable practices while enhancing long-term business value in both domestic and international markets.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy Development:

- Develop and lead the company's sustainability vision, goals, and road map in alignment with business objectives and global best practices.

- Identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities in sustainability and recommend strategic responses.

- Build partnerships with stakeholders, including government bodies, NGOs, and certification agencies, to foster collaboration and compliance.

Sustainability Implementation:

- Drive the implementation of sustainability initiatives across business units, ensuring measurable outcomes.

- Establish and monitor key performance indicators related to sustainability goals.

- Lead efforts to achieve certifications and accreditations relevant to sustainability standards in agricultural commodities.

Stakeholder Engagement:

- Engage with customers, suppliers, and investors to demonstrate the company's commitment to sustainability.

- Act as the company's sustainability representative at industry forums, conferences, and client engagements.

Capacity Building:

- Conduct training and awareness programs to embed sustainability practices across teams.

- Foster a culture of sustainability by encouraging innovative approaches to environmental and social responsibility.

Regulatory and Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with sustainability regulations and standards.

- Lead reporting on sustainability performance, including preparing sustainability reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Master's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

- 10+ years of experience in sustainability related roles including functional leadership, preferably in the agricultural commodities sector or related industries.

- Strong knowledge of sustainability frameworks and standards, and global best practices .

- Proven experience in implementing sustainable practices across diverse business functions.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of influencing change in large organizations.

- Strategic thinking and ability to integrate sustainability into business operations.

- Strong analytical skills to evaluate sustainability performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.

- Leadership and team-building capabilities to foster cross-functional collaboration.
