Purpose of the Position : ( Major purpose why this role exists in the organization)
This position is responsible for:
1) Leading the Supply Chain function so as to establish pan India footprint.
2) Formulating supply chain strategy to ensure planning and distribution of finished products to meet demand forecasts and sales plans
3) Leading projects and technological innovation initiatives with a view to bringing about continuous improvement in supply chain efficiencies, cost control and quality assurance
4) Strategizing depot network augmentation and logistics support to meet business plan targets
5) Leading and guiding staff to deliver as per desired service standards
Detailed Responsibilities (Major responsibilities of this position) :-
Managing supply chain operations of the company with the ultimate goal of establishing industry leadership in India and foreign markets
Overseeing demand forecasting and supply chain planning as in line with annual and monthly business plans of the company
Managing all operations to realize the strategic objectives and targets of the company while maintaining quality and cost standards
Directing and supervising the functioning and smooth operations of all the departments reporting to the position
Analyzing the Forecast received from Sale and driving the consequent Production & Package Plans annually and monthly
Driving the Sales & Operation Planning (S&OP) meeting with all stake holder regularly
Ensuring seamless logistics operations from plant to depots/ customers of company's products
Coordinating with Production to track production and despatches are in line with plans
Doing capacity planning and management for building necessary depot/ CFA and logistics infrastructure for efficient supply chain flow
Finalizing selection and empanelment of transporters after necessary verifications and negotiations
Guiding departments concerned in the preparation of action plans based on the MIS analysis and reviews actions taken by concerned departments to minimize losses, service failures and complaints
Overseeing that Sauda commitments are met as planned
Providing inputs on New Product Development
Ensuring Inventory Management of finished goods at plants and depots to reduce inventory costs
Ensuring adherence to company strategic plans on all budgetary targets while executing all other duties and responsibilities expected from the job
Continuously identifying opportunities for technology and process related up gradation/innovation with a view to enhancing supply chain efficiencies
Participating in industry forums and maintains formal and informal contacts with industry organizations with a view to maintaining a track of latest industry trends in supply chain and logistics issues
Educational Qualification Requirements:
Qualification: BTech (Additional) Specialization (if any):- Supply Chain Management
Qualification: MBA (Essential)
Work Experience Requirements:
Experience: 15 to 25 years of experience
Industries: FMCG Preferable
