Supply Chain Head, based in Africa

Our client is a leading FMCG company in East Africa, and we are looking for a professionals with extensive experience in different facets of Supply Chain. The role entails

Responsible for leading the Supply Chain strategy for the region, to improve operational efficiencies and distribution.

- Managing a large team across Import/Export, Operations, Supply Chain Development and Distribution

- Optimise the relationships with third party service providers,

- Reduce working capital (inventory) and improve the process development across the supply chain.

- Will play a key role in transport network optimization,

Reports to: CEO/Managing Director

Candidate Profile:

The Successful Applicant

- MBA with Supply Chain / Logistics specialism

- A strong track record or success leading and developing the function from the manufacturing industries.

- Will have expertise in 3PL management, inventory optimization and S&OP development.

- Will have had ownership of an end to end supply chain and delivered cost savings initiatives.

- Must be very analytical, proactive and have the ability to sell supply chain solutions to the business. This role would ideally suit a proven leader with strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.

Work experience: 15 - 20 years with at least 10-15 Years experience in related FMCG Domain with hands on experience.
