Head Supplier Acquisition
Client : Internet B2B Marketplace Startup (Series A Funded) poised to significantly disrupt the traditional distribution channels.
Position : Head Supplier Acquisition
Location : Bengaluru
Reporting : CEO
Responsibilities :
- The incumbent needs to be from the 'CONSUMER DURABLE / ELECTRONICS / INTERNET / space.
- The primary responsibility is to build and acquire a strong supplier network. The suppliers, in this case, are wholesalers, distributors and manufacturers/brands.
- Establish connect, onboard & maintain strong and effective relationships with the wholesalers, distributors, brands & all other business partners.
- Play a key role in building the image of the startup at various forums, seminars etc.
- Work closely with the Operations team to ensure smooth transitioning of Supplier to Operations team, seek market intelligence on present / potential categories etc.
- Build strong sales organization, process, rigour and discipline in the supplier acquisition function.
- Conceptualize, evaluate and execute innovative supplier acquisition programs which have longer term impact on the acquisition pipeline.
- Make strategic recommendations towards improving acquisition processes and product/platform development processes.
- Supervise RSMs, Area Managers and the overall sales team to ensure that the monthly and annual targets are met on regular basis.
- Put together and supervise an effective on the job training and continuous guidance to the team.
- Play the all important role of being part of the Leadership Team in integrating the function with the remaining organization and continuously build systems and processes to achieve Company's vision.
