Desired Skills:
1. Applicants must have an M. Tech (Structures) from a reputed institution such as IIT or NIT.
2. 18+ years of experience in managing structural design for high-rise residential, commercial, and township projects.
3. Hands-on experience with software such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD, BIM 360, etc.
4. Strong knowledge of value engineering in the design of structures at various stages.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Review structural schemes for various residential projects, focusing on structural efficiency and build-ability.
2. Conduct in-house peer reviews of structural engineering deliverables from consultants, including design basis reports, geotechnical reports, analysis models, design calculations, reinforcement detailing, and GFC drawings.
3. Identify and evaluate new consultants and vendors for structural engineering needs.
4. Perform literature surveys and studies on advancements in structural analysis and design, national and international codes/standards, current global trends, and new technologies.
5. Collaborate cross-functionally to support areas such as costing, contracts, procurement, planning, quality, and safety to ensure control over project cost, timelines, quality, and safety.
Review retrofitting schemes.
6. Update engineering management processes and develop new processes as needed.
7. Lead organisational initiatives, including standardisation, cost optimisation, and reducing construction time.
8. Drive the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) across the organization.
9. Guide a team of structural engineers.
10. Provide expert advice on structural systems, structural analysis, design, and detailing for various elements like footings (isolated/combined), raft, pile, pile-raft, columns, shear walls, slabs, beams, retaining walls, etc.
11. Conduct in-depth studies of design aspects and the advantages of different construction methodologies, creating guidelines for RCC, structural steel, precast, and composite construction.
12. Ensure the availability of high-quality GFC construction drawings onsite within the management timelines.
13. Manage external consultants and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
14. Ensure full coordination among stakeholders to ensure successful structural deliveries.
15. Compare different structural systems (framed structure, shear wall, flat slab, flat plate, waffle slab) and identify cost-effective alternatives.
16. Evaluate various formwork systems (Mivan, tunnel form, etc.) and precast technology in terms of layout, repetition, and material consumption
