Client Details :
Our client is in the top Retail companies in the India. They have a strong presence with great established brands. They are growing at a very fast pace in the Indian markets. They are looking for someone who can contribute to/head their Retail Strategy team.
Description :
Lead strategic agenda :
- Conduct analytical work and develop recommendations in support of specific business opportunities/initiatives.
- Become the go-to source of knowledge on business development thinking including understanding of market dynamics, competitor landscape, emerging shopper/consumer/distribution channel trends, market-shaping events such as M&A.
Lead delivery of business transformation projects :
- Act as the PMO chief across several projects, engaging colleagues across functions and business units, delegating/organizing work in an effective way, ensuring disciplined actions against timeline and leading communication.
- Most projects involve participants and stakeholders across functions and parts of the organization.
Planning :
- Support the annual mid-term planning process, providing input to Finance, HR, SCM and Marketing functions such as on growth ambition levels, prioritization of initiatives, conducting targeted analytical deep dives to define and size growth opportunities.
Organization development :
- Managing and coaching direct reports, with a view to deliver against business needs and to upskill, motivate talent; reviewing organizational capabilities (in conjunction with HR) beyond the direct team and supporting talent development initiatives including organizational structure, role scoping and recruitment reviews
Profile :
- Ideal candidate would have over 7 years of relevant experience in commercial (sales/marketing/finance) roles in FMCG/consumer goods sector and strategy consulting or IB/PE organization
- Strong communication and people leadership skills and bias to fact-based, analytical ways of working
- Proven record of effectively managing people across different levels of experience/rank/capability/motivation level is required to succeed in the role
- MBA from Top B School
- Highest drive for results
- Forward thinking and the ability to foster innovation with creativity, while also maintaining a clear sense of business objectives
- Extraordinary communication and relationship skills including the ability to collaborate cross functionally within the organization
- Ability to continuously re-prioritize and adapt to change
- Be effective at managing change in a dynamic working environment
