Desired candidate Profile:

- Qualification: Graduate in an Engineering discipline

- Post graduate in Management, from a premier business management school preferred, such as an IIM

- Experience of at least 25 years in a conglomerate in the Engineering & Allied Industry with at least 5-10 years in leadership position.

- Experience of at least 5 years in a Strategic Planning role.

Key Responsibilities:

The position is responsible for the complete strategy road map of the concerned businesses with clear objectives for short term as well as long term goals. She/he is specifically responsible for the following:

- To monitor and interpret all trends that occurs within the specific businesses with specific focus on Macroeconomic trends as well as country specific study.

- Evaluating 5 year strategy plan & facilitate the implementation of strategic initiatives in the concerned ICs.

- To facilitate the development of a Corporate Strategy for the concerned businesses either with the internal team or facilitate the same through Global Strategy Consultants.

- To undertake development and implementation of various strategy assignments in concerned IC/ SBG/ BU and Subsidiary & Associate companies

- To help the Top Management in restructuring of its cluster portfolio.

- To create a path for streamlining the IC Board concept & institutionalize the IC board processes for the concerned businesses.

- To facilitate various portfolio and structure related decisions and implement the same for the concerned businesses.

- Directs and manage the process of developing, refining, monitoring and reporting on the implementation of strategic initiatives.

- Effectively communicate the businesses strategic objectives & plan with senior management to drive the concerned business strategy forward.

Skill Set Required:

- Domain/Execution Leadership - Demonstrate functional knowledge of a large organization in strategy domain, Lead By example, and Analyze, Planning and Organizational abilities.

- Excellent skill in using business analytics for insights and other data for benchmarking

Org's key performance indicators with competition

- Strategic Resource Management, Decision making ability; motivation and development of employees

- Good communication skills and interpersonal relationship to coordinate with different departments.

- Excellent Leadership skills and Presentational ability, ability to lead large team of managers while inspiring and influencing a diverse workforce.

- Proven expertise in the planning, execution and leadership of business strategies.

- An innovator with knowledge of various financial structures, Organizational Transformational models, public communications and competitive intelligence.
