Position : SBU Head - Vaccines
Educational Qualification : BSc / B-Pharm (Preferred), MBA
Age : 35 to 45 (2 yrs relaxation at either end)
Location of Work : Mumbai
Languages Known - English
Reporting to (Organogram of the Company): Vice President.
Indicate parallel position (s) (explain inter-relationships from the point of view of how each position would add value to or derive value from significant organization relationships) :
- Shall report into Vice President
- Head of sales (NSM) and head of Marketing (Marketing Manager) would report to him
- Would have cross functional co-ordination with Medical, Training, Market research, SCM, Production and Finance.
Role & responsibility :
- Responsible for the P & L of the business to drive profitable growth
- Assist Marketing team in developing robust marketing plans and ensuring implementation with the help of the sales team
- Formulate AOP, strategic and tactical plan for the SBU, Suggest new launch etc
- Playing a key role in team building, focus on internal talent development, developing and maintaining relations with key customers/stakeholders (doctors and distributors), leveraging technology to ensure better sales and brand management.
Measurement Criteria : KRA of SBU head
- Top line and the profitability of the business handled
- Market share improvement
- Success of the new products launched
- Building up of the team competence specific to their roles
- Customer relationship management for the key customers
How, each case would ascertain that the candidate has been successful in one, two, three years :
Every KRA would have quantified target & Achievement will be measured against the same

Experience : Around 12 to 15 years experience with around 3 to 5 years preferably as the head of Marketing as well as sales function. Alternatively some one who has proven very well in any of the above mentioned functions and demonstrates an ability to do well in the other function can also be considered.
- Kind of Company worked in: Preferred to have worked in Vaccines/ Pediatric Range SBU of a pharmaceutical organization with 100 crore plus annual turnover
- Decision making authority (Decision making processes in Company and the authority vested in the position):
- Effective utilization of Promotional and selling expenses to ensure better productivity
- Recruitment of the key people in the areas of sales and marketing
