The SBU Head - Business Group is responsible for formulating effective strategies, driving implementation and achievement of profitability & revenue targets for the concerned SBU / vertical (for example, CEG - Networking). Managing and leveraging relationships with vendors and key channel partners, reviewing closure of high value deals, driving new business opportunities / brand acquisitions, building synergies with the sales team and resolving escalated business issues in the SBU is key to the role holder. The role holder leads the Business group team for the SBU.
Educational Qualification / Experience required:
- Graduate in any discipline (including engineering), with a full time MBA (Sales and Marketing specialization)
- Experience of around 15 plus years in product management / sales function in IT Distribution
- At least 8 to 10 years experience as a Group Product / Group Business manager, independently managing a product / (Juniper/Polycom/Ruckus/Dlink/Zyxel/Avaya/Lifesize) business (or) Equivalent Field Sales experience in IT Distribution
- Proven experience in leading the business function for a SBU / Vertical, vendors / channel partner management and driving new business opportunities
Key Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for formulating strategy and driving implementation for the concerned SBU / vertical
2. Drive achievement of profitability and revenue targets for the SBU (quarterly, annual)
3. Manage strategic relationships with key vendor and channel partner stake holders for the SBU, including identification and conversion of new business opportunities
4. Collaborate and drive synergies with the Sales team for achievement of business objectives, including resolution of escalated issues in the business
5. Responsible for leading the Business group team for the SBU
