Head - Steel Melt Shop (SMS) We require Head of SMS for our steel plant. Our Steel plant is co-located with Sugar manufacturing plant at Dhanaura. Dhanaura(Tehsil) is 20 kms from Gajrola/120kms from Noida and falls under Amroha district. Designation : Head-SMS Department : Production Reports to: Plant Head Immediate Level Subordinate: Supervisors, Engineers and Foreman Job Objective: Efficient, effective with cost optimized operations of the SMS to the desired parameters Primary functions: - Responsible for operations(Induction Furnace, LRF, CCM) and maintenance to ensure schedule production and metallurgy - Responsible to execute of Cost reduction plan through process improvement and Quality control - Ensure effective implementation of the Quality Control Plans - Analyze and interact with the technology suppliers & vendors to ensure improvement in productivity - Study the technical feasibility and analyze the production & cost benefits of implementing latest processes, technologies & equipment's - Production, Consumable and Raw Material Planning - Planning of preventive and predictive maintenance in order to achieve minimal breakdown - Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations - Compliance to various state and central laws and regulations - Supervising members and ensuring timely completion of work - Investigates and Monitors performance, analyses shortfall and abnormalities, implements remedial actions and suggests technical change where necessary Knowledge and Skills : - Bachelor in Technology/Diploma in Metallurgy with minimum 10 years of experience - Inspiring and influencing communication skills - Ability to manage and supervise a staff team and cope with conflict, stress and crisis - Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity and inventory management - Strong team building, decision-making, interpersonal and people management skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills About Us : Wave Industries has a rich legacy of over 5 decades across industries.
