Head - Solution Design

Location - Mumbai

Role:

The role involves to design world-class Supply Chain solutions in Warehousing and Transportation using best in class processes, use of high-end technology and collaborate for sales pitches to CXOs/MDs across the defined Segment of customers.

Job Description:

1. Makes decisions and recommendations that would normally result in winning new or adding existing business in close collaboration with Business Development team.

2. Work closely with the Head of Business Development and develop a pricing and gross margin management process which will optimize revenue growth, profitability and quick decision-making capabilities within the organization.

3. Understand the as-is Supply Chain process of the customer with respect to Infrastructure, Process, Technology, and People and design best in class solutions to bring in value chain transformation.

4. Identify requirements for, and develop appropriate proprietary tools to support the process where required; e.g. cost models, productivity tools, warehouse sizing, etc.

5. Drive warehouse performance to achieve cost targets, develop action plans to improve productivities and efficiencies; Ensure activities meet with organizational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care.

6. Develop and execute integrated Supply Chain solutions in the areas of Transport management and Returns management (Reverse Logistics).

7. Drive the Transportation Network Modelling and Design and Analysis in routine and peak volume in the pursuit of new business, RFQ and evaluate and determine costs of solutions, formulate account strategies for leveraging solutions, and gain agreement on established value propositions.

8. Makes decisions and recommendations that would normally result in implementing a project on time, in scope & within budget.

9. To represent project management competency and capability in the early stages of lead and proposal development for business opportunities.

10. Ability to complete and/or overview the completion of all project components to meet appropriate economic standards ensures customer satisfaction, timely completion, and project profitability.

11. Ability to provide direction, motivation, training, and decision support to project staff.
