Planning Head - Sr. Manager


Purpose/Function of the role: Lead a team of Category Planners, Supply Planners and Initiative Planners to drive the following Key Deliverables:

1. Demand Planning :

- Create Demand planning based on forecast received from all online and offline Sales Channels

- Drive forecast accuracy inside the organization coordinating with Category planners for resolving significant variances.

- Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Category team, Demand Forecasting team, Sales team to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.

2. Supply Planning:

- Lead Supply Planning function in developing inventory strategies on existing products, new products, and product phase-outs

- Optimize and communicate the Production schedule considering sequencing and other constraints e.g., line capacity, labour, batch sizes, run rates, bottlenecks, planned downtime, current FG inventory levels

- Create Raw material and Packaging Material Planning for a network of Suppliers across India and abroad.

- Influences the safety-stock holding of vendor managed RMs across diff Manufacturing Units

- Ensure Time to Market of New Product launches are met as per agreed timelines

3. Inventory and Service Management:

- Derives Inventory Management strategy (FG/RM/PM) across different locations (Plant/Warehouse/Stores) basis inventory models

- Optimize Inventory and still ensure Service Levels (Value and Quantity) are met as per standards defined

- Monitoring Inventory Health and ensuring no older stocks are present in the system.

- Work closely with Cross functional Teams (Manufacturing, Warehouse, Sales, Finance, Procurement) to ensure Inventory and Service norms are met

Essential/preferred attributes:

1. Experience: 5-8 years of experience in demand & supply planning/ capacity management

2. Must be familiar with WMS/ERP/SAP-MM systems

3. Analytical mind, self-motivated, Team Management, Change leader with strong values

4. Well versed in Data handling (SAP, MIS, Excel, Dashboards)

5. Push for a data-driven culture - Lead a team that pushes for insights from data

6. Excellent Cross functional team working skills

Qualifications:

Education required:

1. Engineering graduate, MBA preferred

2. Experience of working in a Plant, Lean/Six sigma certification would be an added advantage
