Head - Sales
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales Leadership:
- Drive business development strategies for Portfolio Management Services (PMS) and Alternative Investment Fund (AIF), achieving ambitious sales and growth targets.
- Expand and manage a premium client base by acquiring high-revenue clients, particularly targeting UHNIs and HNIs.
- Design and execute lead generation campaigns to accelerate customer acquisition, leveraging events, partnerships, and strategic initiatives to maximize revenue growth.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build, maintain, and deepen relationships with key intermediaries and direct clients to ensure long-term, sustainable partnerships.
- Conduct regular client reviews, ensuring alignment between their financial goals and tailored portfolio solutions, ultimately fostering long-term wealth creation.
- Provide clients with consistent, valuable market insights and guide investment strategies to optimize their portfolios, based on prevailing market trends and risk management practices.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing portfolio management sales team to drive sales success and exceed AUM targets.
- Provide ongoing education and training to the sales team, ensuring they are equipped with the latest knowledge and tools to excel in the PMS space.
- Foster a collaborative, results-oriented culture within the team, focusing on performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Operational Strategy & Growth Targets:
- Own and manage national sales operations, driving the development and growth of PMS business with a target of reaching 10,000 Cr AUM by 2026.
- Spearhead the firm's growth in PMS, with a strategic vision to rank among the top 20 PMS providers by 2025, top 10 by 2026, and top 5 by 2027.
- Collaborate closely with the broader team to enhance the multi-channel client journey, ensuring seamless service delivery and consistent performance targets.
Market Leadership & Insights:
- Provide market insights, thought leadership, and strategic guidance to ensure alignment with market trends, investment strategies, and risk management practices.
- Establish and maintain distributor tie-ups to maximize revenue streams and extend the firm's market reach.
Revenue and Performance Management:
- Continuously track sales performance and market share, implementing strategies to meet revenue targets and maintain growth trajectory.
- Ensure the development and execution of strategies that enhance revenue from PMS and AIF offerings.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Advanced qualifications such as MBA, CFA, or equivalent are preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in equity portfolio management
- Proven track record of driving significant growth in Assets Under Management (AUM), managing large portfolios, and leading high-performing sales teams.
- Expertise in the PMS and AIF space, with a deep understanding of equity markets and financial products.
- Strong experience in managing relationships with UHNIs, HNIs, and other premium clients in the wealth management or asset management industry.
