Part of a major media group, the company is growing rapidly through acquisitions and headed to be a dominant player in the industry.
The Role
For their Bangalore station, they are seeking to hire a dynamic and result oriented professional as their sales head. The position reports to the station head and will manage a large team to steer the station's sales from strategy to closures to maximize revenue potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Generating revenues for the region and work closely with the station head on matters related to airtime.
- Develop and implement sales strategy.
- Enhance revenue through direct sales with advertising agencies and clients
- Provide client solutions and integrations
- Create and or identify convergent opportunities with advertisers that capitalize on the Station's capacity to attract a desirable demographic
- Optimize current agency and client relationships
- Function strategically and tactically to position the Station to dominate the radio space.
- Develop sales plans and goals by studying and understanding the station's market and approve all sales promotion campaigns
- Determine price schedules
- Scan the environment to gain insights into competitor strategies, potential business opportunities and market trends
- Recruit and train account executives for the station and work with the sales staff to meet a specific financial goal for the station
Candidate Profile :
You should be an MBA with minimum 10-12 years of national space/time/advertising sales. Radio or broadcasting experience would be an advantage. Experience with both corporate and SME sales in the consumer/B2B domain, with a good connect to the key customers in the market is essential. Experience in managing a team to achieve aggressive targets will be vital to the role.
