Job Title : Head Sales & Marketing
Reporting Person : Managing Director
Purpose of the Job
Build a high performing sales and marketing team with talent, process, and technology to support growth and profit aspirations.
Job Objective -
- Establish and lead strategy to achieve Business Objectives
- Partner with Managing Director (MD) and promoters to establish where to play and how to win with corresponding timeframes to achieve the Objectives
- Establish long term profit and EBITDA goals
- Evaluate current state and recommend investments in people, process, and technology to achieve our
- Detail product road map in line with sales goals
- Establish benchmarks for product quality to succeed
- Manage Annual Sales & Profit
- Establish the annual sales, profit, and cost budget based on long term goal and market conditions
- Present monthly results to MD and promoters with root cause analysis and course corrections
- Manage cost budget and course correct based on budget achievement
General Business Management
- Cross functional leadership of R&D, production, sales, and marketing to : bring the right products to the market on time with aftermarket support and high levels of quality
- Brand Management : Custodian of the Ultra brand Ensure products, pricing, promotion, and distribution are in line with our aspirations to establish Ultra as a premium kitchen appliance brand for the Indian kitchen.
- Channel Management : Ensure participation in the most profitable and brand respecting channels with an increasing pivot to more profitable owned channels
- Media management : Propose and manage the marketing budget across channels to ensure positive ROI Agency management : Manage digital, social, and creative agencies to drive awareness, consideration, and conversation
Core Experience
- Minimum 20 years of experience in sales and marketing/marketing communications with a passion for driving change and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Seasoned P&L management experience
- Traditional and digital retail experience Consumer brand experience based on value positioning as opposed to price drive positioning
- Channel development and management experience
- Cross functional leadership experience proven track of Managing R&D, Manufacturing and Marketing to bring the right products to the right market on time.
- Marketing Strategy with high technology/consumer brand organizations
