Head - Sales & Marketing - South India - Building Materials
- Develop & implement effective sales & marketing strategies.
- Develop & implement effective positioning & pricing strategies based on various factors such as geography, competition etc.,
- Participate in annual & quarterly planning of company objectives.
- Identify opportunities to reach new market segments & expand market share.
- Develop strategic plans to establish & maintain strong relationships with customers & channel partners.
- Monitor competition for acquisitions, new product launches, pricing changes etc., to ensure the organization adapts as required.
- Building relationships with government authorities & get specifications incorporated in tenders.
- Responsible for achievement of targets for top & bottom line for the product vertical including volume targets.
- Coordinate with the marketing communication team in building brand awareness & ensure brand visibility across customer segments.
- Negotiate & close agreements with large customers.
- Manage & oversee the daily operations of the sales department.
- Liaise with Marketing & Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency.
- Keep abreast of new product launches & ensure sales team members are equipped for marketing the new products.
- Responsible for Key Account management & developing key customer accounts.
- Develop & adhere to the credit policy of the company & maintain DSO norms.
- Design, monitor & analyse performance metrics of the sales team.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly & annual sales forecasts.
- Conduct market research & identify new potential customers & new market opportunities.
- Preparation & submission of monthly MIS to management
- Lead the zonal sales (South India) team members to achieve sales targets across the product vertical.
- Provide timely & effective solutions to sales operational issues.
- Design, monitor & analyse performance metrics of the sales team.
- Design career plan for the team, identify training needs of the team, mentoring & counselling.
