Role Summary:

Responsible for achieving profitable and sustainable business growth through creation and execution of successful Sales and Marketing strategies with emphasis on exceeding expectations for Customer Service and maintaining Company's strategic vision.

Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning:

1.1. Contributing to Long-Term Strategy: Develop comprehensive sales and marketing strategies that align with the overall business objectives catering to the unique demands of the agriculture sector.

1.2. Setting Objectives and Targets: Establish a clear measurable short and medium-term goals for the sales and marketing teams. Ensure these targets are aligned with the Company's financial and operational objectives.

1.3. Market Positioning: Define the Company's market positioning and value proposition. Develop strategies to differentiate the company's products and services from competitors.

2. Market Research and Analysis:

2.1. Conducting Market Research: Utilize various research methods, including surveys, focus groups, and data analysis, to gather insights on market trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape.

2.2. Analyzing Customer Needs: Identify and analyze customer needs and preferences to inform product development and marketing strategies. Use customer insights to tailor marketing messages and campaigns.

2.3. Competitive Analysis: Monitor and analyze competitors' activities, strengths, and weaknesses. Develop strategies to capitalize on market opportunities like entry into potential new markets and mitigate competitive threats.

3. Brand Management:

3.1. Developing Brand Identity: Create and maintain a strong corporate and product brand identity. Ensure consistent brand messaging across all marketing channels through exhaustive branding activities.

3.2. Executing Marketing Campaigns: Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, advertising, public relations, and events.

3.3. Building Brand Awareness: Implement strategies to increase brand awareness and recognition including formal product launches. Utilize social media, content marketing, and influencer partnerships to enhance brand visibility.

4. Sales Management:

4.1. Leading the Sales Team: Recruit, train, and manage a high performing sales team. Set performance targets and provide ongoing training (general and specifics) on soil, crops, products, and application methods to achieve sales goals.

4.2. Developing Sales Strategies: Create and implement sales strategies, including pricing, promotions, and distribution channels. Ensure strategies are aligned with market conditions and customer needs.

4.3. Monitoring Sales Performance: Track sales performance against targets. Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Implement corrective actions as needed to ensure alignment and adherence to SBU annual budgets.

5. Customer Relationship Management:

5.1. Building Customer Relationships

5.2. Implementing Feedback Mechanisms

5.3. Enhancing Customer Engagement

6. Channel Management:

6.1. Developing Channel Strategies: Create and implement strategies for managing distribution channels, including wholesalers, retailers, and online platforms. Ensure channels are optimized for maximum reach and efficiency.

6.2. Building Channel Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with channel partners. Provide support and resources to help partners achieve sales targets.

6.3. Monitoring Channel Performance: Track and analyze the performance of distribution channels. Identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategies to enhance channel effectiveness.

6.4. Optimizing Channel Mix: Evaluate the effectiveness of different channels & adjust the channel mix to maximize sales and profitability. Ensure alignment with overall sales and marketing strategies.

7. Digital Marketing:

7.1. Utilizing Digital Tools: Leverage digital marketing tools and platforms to reach and engage target audiences. Manage the company's online presence, including website, social media, and email marketing campaigns.

7.2. Creating Digital Content: Develop compelling digital content, including blog posts, videos, and social media updates. Ensure content is aligned with brand messaging and marketing objectives.

7.3. Analyzing Digital Performance: Monitor and analyze the performance of digital marketing campaigns. Use data-driven insights to optimize strategies and improve ROI.

8. Budgeting and Reporting:

8.1. Managing Budgets

8.2. Preparing Reports

8.3. Financial Analysis

8.4. Monthly rolling forecast to enable better demand and supply planning by the respective functional heads.

9. Collaboration with Other Functions:

9.1. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as technical services and R&D (to ensure product registration), finance, production, and supply chain, to ensure alignment of strategies and objectives. Collaborate on product development and innovation.

9.2. Providing Market Insights: Share market insights and customer feedback with other functions to inform product development, production planning, and supply chain management.
