 Description - The role involves leading the Sales function for the organisation. Aspects of the role include distribution expansion, formulating sales strategy, ensuring increased market share and profitability, sales development and trade marketing.

Client Details : 

Our client has been in the market for the last few years and quickly become a recognised name in the foods industry. They have significant presence in the North and West markets and are quickly establishing themselves as a national player.

They are looking for a Sales Head to lead their business growth.

Job Description : 

They key responsibilities of the role include:

- Develop sales plans, strategies and policies with a view to increasing/sustain market share and profitability

- Have effective implementation and monitoring mechanism to ensure the achievement of the sales plans and strategies

- Formulate policies and guidelines for smooth functioning and satisfaction of channel partners like dealers, distributors and stockiest

- Scan the environment to understand competitor's activities, demand-supply scenario, regulatory issues to formulate strategies for increasing market share

- Initiate market intelligence system to provide monthly information to Top Management on potential data, competitors activities, new product opportunities and other changes in the environment

- Evolve policies for establishing a robust field force monitoring and people management, relationship management system in order to increase field force satisfaction and portfolio growth


Profile : 

A successful candidate is someone with:

- 15-20 Years of experience in FMCG Sales

- Must have done a National Role or experience in 2+ Regions as an RSM


- Must have proven track record of people management skills


- Must be able to deal with ambiguity and have entrepreneurial zeal


- Should be adept at strategy and strong execution skills


- Someone who is motivated to work in start up environment
