About the role :
The Head of Sales is responsible for planning and implementing sales, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new markets. This position will be reporting into VP- Sales & Marketing
Responsibilities :
- To achieve short and long term value creation and business growth for the retail business in India and drive business initiatives
- Responsible for sales targets and Profitability of the Business
- Developing and Driving retail sales Business Strategy & Roadmap
- Responsible for P&L and Creation and implementation of sales strategies to increase the sales, growth, equity and profitability of business - Build long term competitive strength.
- Formulate sales strategies, plan and budgets to develop existing accounts and develop new business
- Formulate & monitor key performance indicators, variances and results of implemented business strategies.
- With team, develop and deliver the Category Wise Business Plan, consistent with the Financial KPIs - Sales, Stocks, Margin etc.
- Undertake macro -economic research, industry trend analysis, SWOT, competitive analysis, customer surveys, selling trends and patterns, new markets/geography/etc. and provide clear and actionable segmentation models about customers and potential markets
- Develop & maintain an effective and efficient Route to Market across all channels across India
- Expertise in analyzing and developing new streams for long-term revenue growth
- Team Development :
- Lead and develop the team of Zonal Sales Heads
- Establish and maintain relationships with key strategic partners.
Candidate specifications :
- 10-16 years + of post MBA experience (MBA from a Premiere Institute)
- Strong Sales exposure with known FMCG organisations
- Exposure to the Foods and Beverages industry and the latest trends in modern trade are highly desirable
- Excellent people, interpersonal & influencing skills
