Essential duties and responsibilities:
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Strong system and process thinking to improve the admissions and student life cycle experience from inquiry through admission.
- Data-driven and strong towards goals setting, tracking, and accountability.
- Deep knowledge of the UG/PG and professional student market.
- Experience in market research and the ability to identify opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced computer and project management skills.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead/supervise teams. Recruits, trains and evaluates staff.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to exercise professional judgment and assume responsibility for decisions.
Education:
- Master's Degree in related discipline
Experience:
- 10-18 years of experience in Edtech/ Online Education.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and managing admissions staff and related processes and procedures.
Job Duties:
- Build, maintain and inspire a motivated team of admission counsellors and effectively collaborate across institutional departments to achieve goals.
- Participate in enhancing and meeting admission numbers of targets, projecting short and long-term enrolment goals and meeting them.
- Develops an annual departmental operating budget; plans for long-term financial needs; manages and monitors the budget.
- Ensures that all admissions policies and practices are ethical, effective, reliable, and in conformance with best practices of enrolment management. Works to ensure the knowledge base of internal and external regulations and laws necessary to assure compliance in departmental activities is maintained.
- Provides leadership, direction and effective performance management.
- Prepares departmental reports as needed and is responsible for coordinating the completion of reports as may be required by management.
- Networks internally and externally to achieve objectives of the institution and supervised departments. Maintains an excellent, effective and professional working relationship with the staff, students and other departments
