Our client is a 87 year old multi business enterprise with annual revenue of about Rs. 2,200 Cr. and has business interests in Media, Print technologies & Business solutions, Home fragrance and Energy & Infrastructure etc

- The group companies have manufacturing / service operations in India, USA, Kenya, Germany etc. All group companies are privately held with strategic long term equity investors in few of the core businesses. The group also runs international partnerships / JV in most of its businesses. The group will be looking at public listing as well as getting strategic investors in all its businesses in future.

A subsidiary of the above group is in search of a Head - Business Development and Marketing

Joining location: Mumbai / Bangalore

Prerequisite:

20+ years of experience in core sales

Ideal candidate must be from diverse industries. (Eg: The candidate should be having experience in 2 or more Industries. The same may be Health care, IT, FMCG, Digital Business)

The candidate should be future ready company. In case the company want to shift its business lines the candidate should be able to visualize the future and get ready

The candidate should have business transformation and Digital transformation mindset

The candidate should be from Core Sales Experience

Duties & responsibilities:

Develop a sales strategy to achieve organizational sales goals and revenues

Set individual sales targets with sales team

Delegate responsibility for customer accounts to sales personnel

Co-ordinate sales action plans for individual sales people

Oversee the activities and performance of the sales team

Ensure sales team have the necessary resources to perform properly

Monitor the achievement of sales objectives by the sales team

Liaise with other company functions to ensure achievement of sales objectives

Evaluate performance of sales staff

Provide feedback, support and coaching to the sales team

Plan and direct sales team training

Assist with the development of sales presentations and proposals

Co-ordinate and monitor online sales activity

Investigate lost sales and customer accounts

Track, collate and interpret sales figures

Forecast annual, quarterly and monthly sales revenue

Generate timely sales reports

Develop pricing schedules and rates

Formulate sales policies and procedures

Help prepare budgets

Control expenses and monitor budgets

Conduct market research and competitor and customer analysis

Analyze data to identify sales opportunities

Develop promotional ideas and material

Attend trade meetings and industry conventions

Cultivate effective business relationships with executive decision makers in key accounts

Qualification: Business degree or related professional qualification
