JOB PURPOSE L
- Drive new sales and revenue growth in addition to spearheading the development of sales strategies to achieve organizational objectives.
- Prepare sales forecasts for organizational planning and budget setting.
- Work collaboratively with teams including Engineering, - Product and Marketing to accelerate the sales cycle and achieve a high success rate.
- Keep abreast with the latest trends and product offerings in the DC business. Develop new/ build upon existing products & services to add to the compelling value proposition of DC
- Establish partnerships and foster relationships with new and existing customers
- Build a scalable business through sales excellence.
Responsibilities :
- Design and execute sales & commercial strategy to deliver profitable top line growth
- Lead the expansion plan for the DC portfolio, Accelerating growth and meeting revenue targets
- Lead the BD & sales effort for the DC unit to meet revenue goals
- Analyze Data Centre market trends and events to identify and assess new opportunities
- Lead Contracting and Commercial Negotiations with clients
- Build valuable relationships and liaise with key external and internal business partners
- Engage with existing customers over better service and new product offerings
- Leverage direct sales, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure timely delivery of solutions and offerings.
- Provide complete visibility into the sales pipeline at every stage of development
- Set up Sales function from scratch including the creation of Systems and Processes
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE :
- Initially the number of employees on the rolls will be limited as it is a startup business.
- As the business plan increases, the number of employees.
- On rolls / Off rolls will proportionately increases.
- Proven track record of extensive experience in sales in the Data Centre industry.
- In depth understanding of the DC business.
- Experience in building and cultivating strong relationships with the internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in Key Account Management.
- Strong commercial orientation with the ability to drive Contract Negotiation.
- Should be able to own revenue targets and prepare business and execution plans.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills and the ability to use optimal metrics for reporting KPIs and providing recommendations.
Educational Qualifications & Experience :
- MBA from a reputed Institute
- 10 plus years of experience in sales or commercial function in the data center business with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership position
- Experience in a growth organization
