About the Role:


We are looking for The Head of Sales & BD for one of our API/Bulk Drug client at Hyderabad who will be responsible for growing their client base in the Regulated, RoW & Domestic markets. The individual will be responsible for market scanning, planning go to market strategies, defining the operating model and execute the plan to achieve revenue growth and revenue realization. The person is also expected to have a thorough knowledge of P&L parameters that drives top-line and bottom-line growth, with a focus on expense management.


Key Responsibilities:


- Lead the achievement of revenue growth commitments for the API business by implementing a robust go to market strategy for the Regulated, RoW and Domestic market.


- Conduct market sensing and customer centric studies to understand the market trends, complete analysis to determine the sales strategy.


- Work towards becoming a Supplier of Choice in the markets that we operate.


- Foster, develop and sustain client relationships to optimize our presence in the market for our product lines.


- Guide the sales team in day-to-day activities to ensure smooth functioning of the business and in the monthly order forecasting for production planning.


- Partner with key internal stakeholders like R&D, RA, QA/QC & Production teams in the life cycle of new product development until commercialization.


- Build a pipeline of at least 3-6 months, to sustain the business growth.


Pre-requisites:


- Must have a track record of leading & managing sales and business development activities across Regulatory, RoW and India markets.


- Must have a strong network of customer connections, including distributors across the regions mentioned above.


- Should have a strong network of Sales & BD professionals in the market.


- Should have a very good understanding of P&L; preferably should have led & managed P&L


- Strong negotiation and communication skills


- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills


Qualifications And Skills:


- Bachelor's / Masters degree in pharmaceutical sciences or a related field. MBA in Marketing and/or Finance is essential.


- 18 - 25 years experience in Sales & BD in the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on APIs.


- In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, including market trends, competitors, and regulatory environment
