Sales Head - Auto-parts Company
VNR Advisory has been retained by a leading Indian player in the automotive industry to help hire a senior professional to lead all sales & marketing functions for the manufacturing BU across the domestic markets and build a stronger export pipeline particularly focussing on the American and European markets. As the Sales Head, s/he would be responsible for:
Sales Strategy and Planning:- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to increase market share and revenue.
- Build stronger export pipelines particularly focussing on Europe and the USA.
- Identify new business opportunities and potential markets for expansion.
- Prepare and manage sales forecasts, budgets, and targets.
Market Analysis and Business Development:- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners globally.
- Negotiate and close sales contracts, ensuring favorable terms for the company.
Leadership and Team Management:- Lead and manage the sales & marketing teams, setting clear goals and performance metrics.
- Provide training, mentorship, and support teams to enhance their skills and performance.
- Foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Customer Relationship Management:- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing client needs and resolving issues.
- Develop and implement customer retention strategies to build long-term relationships.
- Represent the company at international trade shows, conferences, and events.
Compliance:- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, export laws, and industry standards.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to international sales and logistics.
- Manage the documentation and processes related to export operations.
Reporting:- Monitor sales performance and profitability, taking corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare regular sales reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
- Manage the sales budget and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
Qualifications and Skills:The Sales Head will be a key member of the leadership team and will be responsible for doubling the overall top-line of the manufacturing BU. To be successful in this role, the incumbent must have:
- A PG degree / diploma in management / sales / marketing from a reputed institution.
- At least 14 years of total experience with last 5 in leading sales function for a B2B products manufacturing company
- Deep understanding of the global automotive manufacturing markets
- Prior experience in building export channels across European and American markets.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a high-performing sales team.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
