About Our Client
- Our client aims at building a technology-enabled supply chain of fruits and vegetables to serve the small-medium retailer market in Delhi-NCR with a Pan-India sourcing network.
- Its management team consists of serial entrepreneurs who are graduates of premier institutions like IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIM Ahmedabad. It is funded by Pravega Ventures, FactorE Ventures and also has prominent angels as investors like Rajan Anandan (MD, Google SE Asia) Jitendra Gupta (MD, PayU India).
Responsibilities :
Business :
- Responsible for sales from small-medium businesses (retail, restaurants, food processing etc.) in the city.
- Responsible for the overall sales growth in the region and planning for the same, this includes new account acquisition and managing customers relationships to minimize churn.
- Identify trends and understand market needs. Exploring different channels and avenues for growth.
- Responsible to driving metrics like no. of orders per retailers, average order value, retailer rejection etc.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by checking on complaints, commitments made by team members etc.
People :
- Responsible for leading a team of more than 100 managers and sales executives as well as takes ownership of the entire process.
- Build a sustainable talent pipeline inline with workforce planning.
- Foster high potential talent development.
- Manage team performance and motivation in a highly competitive market
Collaboration and Coaching :
- Collaborate with other functions to achieve business objectives.
- Train sales team on products, trade, processes and customer management.
- Responsible for providing market feedback to the management and help drive decision making.
Requirements :
- At least 5+ years experience in business development / sales in Delhi-NCR region with small-medium businesses / general retail / restaurants.
- Entrepreneurial, Extrovert. Willing to get hands dirty.
- An MBA degree from IIM A, IIM B, IIM C, IIM I, IIM K, IIM L, XLRI, MDI, SPJAIN, FORE School of Management
- Experience in channel sales and new product launches is a big plus.
- Knowledge of fruits, vegetables is a big plus.
