Job Responsibilities :
- Create and implement best practice safety vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance
- Audit of subcontractors to minimize non-value added and ensure effective internal and external audits happen
- Monitor compliance to policies and laws
- Health and safety
- Risk Management
- Ensure all personnel are properly trained to perform EHS work, serve as mentor and manager to team of EHS Professionals
- Ensure that suitable and sufficient risk assessments and health surveillance screening is in place
- Supervise and lead a team of EHS professionals to ensure timeliness, completeness, and accuracy of field work during the construction and implementation of projects
- Report on EHS activities on a regular basis to the Senior Management team, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of the relevant Key Performance Indicators
- Collaborate and coordinate with other managers to ensure project is running smoothly and without disruption
- Ensure the BU meets all legal expectations and actively supports occupational health and safety
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a highly talented and qualified professional who has a domain expertise in EHS with the following prerequisites.
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferable - Electronics / Telecommunications). Diploma/Bachelor/Masters in Industrial Safety. A Master's degree with an excellent academic track record is a plus.
- NEBOSH/IOSH/OSHA certifications
- Minimum 15 - 18 years of experience.
- Detailed understanding and exposure in telecommunications, control centers, telecom system works, security, smart infrastructure, OFC cable laying concepts
- Knowledge of Legal and Industrial Safety Standards in Electrical and Telecom fields
- Expertise in HSE Management, Training, Risk Assessment, First Aid, Environment Monitoring, Accident Investigation, Hazard Analysis, Project planning, Technical and Equipment Inspections
- A natural leader with the ability to reduce complexity to tackle strategic challenges.
- Willingness/flexibility for business trips when required.
- Ability to manage large scale projects, including resources and personnel
- Good Understanding and Exposure in the Communication Network/Telecom infrastructure companies
