Responsibilities :

- Influencing, advising, and coaching line management on safety requirements related to work.

- Staying aware of and ensuring compliance to the safety rules and regulations of Government.

- Ensuring compliance to internal health and safety policies, guidelines, and other requirements.

- Working with line management, ensure effective and comprehensive implementation of the internal Work Place Safety standards.

- Working with line operations, ensure Contractor Safety Management standards is implemented throughout the organization.

- Conducting job hazards analysis / risk assessments to ensure safe work.

- Conducting field inspections and safety audits in order ensure the compliance with all safety requirements.

- Developing, implementing, and maintaining of employee and contractor training programs.

- Developing, updating, and managing workplace safety procedures, programs and policies.

- Applying best safety and health practices.

- Leading, planning and implementing safety organization work schedules, professionally developing the safety organization, and assigning duties to subordinates on a regular and ongoing basis.

- Participating in incident investigations.

- Analysis of safety data to identify gaps and propose way forward.

- Prepare routine safety reports.

- Work openly and collaboratively with the Company Safety Governance.

Note: Manage Contractor Safety for a very large workforce across India & SEA


Requirements :

Educational qualifications :

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering ( Full Time + AICTE).

- Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety from a recognized institution is preferred.

Relevant experience:

- Wide experience and knowledge of Health and Safety. 12 to 22 years professional health and safety work experience required. Demonstrable work experience in the large manufacturing, Oil and Gas, Chemical sectors or high hazard industry.

- Experience in managing large contractor workforce ( Min 15000 )

- Knowledge of Global safety standards, policies & strategies.

Technical Competencies:

- Demonstrable construction, contractor, and PSM skills and experience

- Ability to drive line management accountability to safety

- Excellent computer skills
