The RMG Head will be responsible for workforce planning, resource allocation, and bench management across the organization. The role demands a strategic approach to optimizing talent utilization, forecasting demand, and ensuring the right resources are allocated to projects while aligning with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Resource Planning & Allocation
- Develop and implement resource planning strategies to ensure optimal utilization of workforce across projects.
- Collaborate with delivery and project managers to allocate the right talent based on project requirements, skill sets, and availability.
- Forecast resource demand, track talent supply, and ensure workforce readiness for upcoming projects.
- Manage internal reskilling, redeployment, and upskilling initiatives for bench employees.
Talent Management & Workforce Optimization
- Monitor and maintain resource availability and bench strength, ensuring minimum bench time for employees.
- Identify high-demand skill gaps and coordinate with recruitment teams for timely hiring.
- Define and track resource utilization KPIs and workforce productivity metrics.
- Work closely with HR and L&D teams to plan training programs for skill enhancement.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a key liaison between business heads, HR, recruitment, and project delivery teams.
- Support pre-sales and business development by ensuring availability of skilled resources for proposals.
- Provide regular workforce reports and insights to senior leadership.
Process & Compliance Management
- Define and implement best practices in resource management for efficiency.
- Ensure resource forecasting, billing efficiency, and workforce planning align with business targets.
- Develop and maintain resource tracking tools for better decision-making.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in Resource Management / Workforce Planning in a Tech/IT services organization.
- Expertise in capacity planning, talent forecasting, and skill gap analysis.
- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, HRMS tools, and resource tracking platforms.
- Knowledge of IT skill sets and emerging technologies to match project requirements.
- Experience in managing global resource allocation and remote teams is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA in HR/Operations or equivalent.
- Experience working in mid to large-scale IT services organizations.
- Certifications in Workforce Management, Resource Optimization, or Agile Workforce Planning are a plus.
