Job Description :
Position : Head - Technology Engineering Centre
- Manage holistic product development from evaluation and definition of requirements,
- Over design, testing, cooperation with manufacturing and product care in the field of industrial Automation components.
This includes :
- Ensure the consideration of the requirements of the Asian process automation market.
- Deflect findings in reasonable lists of requirements and initiate discussion with development.
- Develop mechanical, electronical products and accompanying software according the customer requirements and Company processes. Optimize functionality, manufacturability (machining, injection molding, die casting, investment casting, forging, sheet metal) and production costs.
- Anticipate technical risks and minimize them with appropriate calculations, simulations and modifications (tolerance, analytical, simulation (FEM), flow simulation) in cooperation with research department.
- Manage the design activities with systematical development and problem solving techniques.
- Test the products to ensure the required quality and the meeting of the product requirements.
- Identify crucial points/parts and application conditions and define test accordingly.
- Find root cause of malfunctions and give problem solving suggestions.
- Plan and manage the projects with respective tools and systems.
- Ensure commitment from project stakeholders and contributors.
- Anticipate project risks and guide the team to integrate stakeholders and minimize it.
- Resolve conflicts and find solutions that caters to the project- and company goals.
- Create the technical product documentation (drawings, design- & test reports, release documents)
- Maintain and optimize the products from development point of view over the whole product lifespan.
- Lead, educate and motivate the TEC team consisting of engineers with different disciplines and roles.
- Represent the TEC in national and international committees internal and external.
- Plan and manage the TEC- and project budgets.
- Manage continuously growth of the team.
- Build up and use an extensive network international and into headquarters (includes PA-specific - and central function contacts)
- BE / ME in Mechanical engineering.
- Experience in product development of mechanical and mechatronic systems.
- Experience in personnel management
- Strong Interpersonal skills and profound technical knowledge.
- Strong in communication and intercultural cooperation.
- Ability to lead teams with different disciplines (overall 40 employees).
- Ability to manage projects in international environment.
- Very good English skills in speaking and writing.
- Knowledge about process automation products.
- Structured way of working.
- Problem solving skills.
