Job Description:

R&D Head II Protective Coating - Industrial Coating II Mumbai

- To spearhead, Execute and manage overall activities of R&D for Industrial Coatings (Protective & Coil coatings) with team of around 10 to 15 technologists, guiding the teams and facilitating professional work culture in order to achieve company business plan and self-assigned key performance areas and R&D business plan.

- Development of new Industrial (PC & Coil) coatings products as per NPD plan against the agreed design inputs and following the standard SOP, on time with right first time and right quality as per marketing and business requirement.

- Providing constant support to manufacturing team and quality control for ensuring pilot and bulk standardization with supervisory and hand holding wherever necessary.

- Ensuing product developed in R&D, Pilot and Plant will run on customer lines smoothly, as per customer satisfaction with consistency and no modifications on line.

- Cost reduction in existing products without compromising quality by formula optimization and identifying and validating alternate cost effective RMs to replace existing ones.

- To organize and conduct validation trails of new and upgraded products on line and ensure the successful implementation.

- Giving Training to the R&D team members for required skillsets and ensuring proper development plan for each on in the group to meet the future technical challenges.

- Identification and selection of right candidates for the team building to meet the business requirement and demands from other stakeholders.

- Excellent communicator both written and verbal, responding promptly to business needs and customer inputs and queries with specific and realistic solutions.

- Ready to travel extensively as per business requirements.

- Strong analytical and solution focused.

- Can handle difficult situations with ease.

- To provide technical support to sales by advising corrective actions for line issues, for conducting new product line trials, for new product commercialization.
