Head R&D (Research & Development)
Role Summary : The R&D Head is a senior-level position responsible for leading and managing the research and development activities of a Foods and Beverages business. The role holder leads well-qualified and experienced scientists, researchers, and technicians, and collaborates with cross-functional departments to deliver high-quality, safe, and commercially viable food products. The role drives innovation, developing new products, improving existing products, and ensuring the company remains at the forefront of the food industry.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- Masters (preferably Doctoral) degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
- A Management qualification (Degree/Diploma/Extended Programme) will be beneficial.
- Proven experience (of 20+ years) in research and development within the food industry, with a strong background in product development, innovation, and project management.
- In-depth knowledge of food science, food processing technologies, ingredient functionality, food chemistry, and food safety regulations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, drive change, and foster a culture of innovation.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with the capacity to identify and address complex technical challenges.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence key stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver results within budgetary constraints.
- Familiarity with food regulations, safety standards, and quality control systems
- Familiarity with consumer trends, market research methodologies, and commercialization processes.
- Up-to-date knowledge of emerging food industry trends, technologies, and regulations
