Position Overview:

Our client seeks an exceptional Head of Research & Development to spearhead their R&D initiatives. This pivotal role will drive advanced research, development, and optimization of chemical products, ensuring unparalleled quality, regulatory compliance, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities :

- Provide strategic leadership for the R&D department, aligning research initiatives with long-term business objectives and emerging technologies.

- Drive the development of novel products, focusing on synthetic antioxidants, pigment intermediates, sulphonamides, specialty amines, vinyl sulfones, and other fine chemicals.

- Ensure strict adherence to regulatory standards and internal HSE policies across all R&D projects.

- Cultivate cross-functional collaboration to facilitate seamless product development and market introduction.

- Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with research institutions, industry bodies, and key customers to enhance innovation capabilities.

- Lead co-development initiatives, technology transfer, and custom manufacturing projects with strategic partners.

- Oversee certification and compliance processes, including Eco Vadis/TFS, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, BRC, and FAMIQS standards.

- Integrate cutting-edge industry trends and technological advancements to maintain the client's competitive edge.

- Mentor and develop the R&D team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.

Qualifications:

- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field, with emphasis on advanced chemical research and development.

- Minimum 15 years of experience in chemical industry R&D, including 7+ years in senior leadership roles.

- Proven track record in successful product development and innovation, particularly in synthetic antioxidants, pigment intermediates, and fine chemicals.

- Comprehensive understanding of chemical industry regulatory standards and certification processes.

- Exceptional leadership, communication, and project management skills.

- Demonstrated ability to drive complex technical projects and foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

- Strategic vision to guide long-term research initiatives and technological advancements.

- Extensive experience in technology transfer, custom manufacturing, and co-development projects with strategic customers.
