Head - Research & Development - Auto/Auto Ancillary

Develop and lead growth roadmap for engineering center :

- Direct all aspects of engineering activities and projects.

- Ensure all engineering activities, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with organization's established policies and objectives.

- Establish and improve performance metrics for engineering center.

- Responsible for major deliverables / metrics out of engineering center for all product lines spanning across following focus areas :

a. New Business Growth

b. Technical Center Capabilities & Competencies

c. Global Engineering Support

d. Domestic Projects Execution

e. Advanced Development Projects

f. Improve Plant Profitability & Quality Performance

- Meet or exceed budget targets for engineering center.

- Support business growth objectives through pursuit support, new product solutions and benchmarking.

- Engineering support for global design centers and India plant.

- Drive and achieve VAVE savings as part of material performance targets in coordination with purchasing team.

- Develop and retain critical talent. Succession development planning and talent development

- Set direction & team purpose as aligned with global stakeholder for continued growth of technical center.

- Ensure all product designs are fully validated to OEM & organisation's specifications prior to release for production.

- Assess and report performances for engineering sustaining related activities

- Support Operations on Quality Issues (8Ds, QRCM)

- Ensure & execute full analysis of customer specifications before RFQ submission to the customer. Support business representatives for technical discussions with customers.

- Benchmark competitor products and provide feedback to the COE of market trends and organisation's position and opportunity within the local market

- Measure & Ensure Customer Satisfaction, Quality, Cost and Delivery for both internal and external deliverables.

- Build strong relationships with customers.

- Working knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, DVP&R, DFM, APQP, etc.

- Derive SMART goals and objectives for team members.
