Head of R&D (Material Science)

- We are hiring for an experienced and visionary leader to head Research & Development (R&D) department in Material Science.

- The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in research, innovation, and leadership, driving organization's initiatives in the chemical industry to new heights

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the R&D strategy aligned with the company's goals, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

- Team Development: Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of researchers and scientists, ensuring effective succession planning and talent development.

- Project Oversight: Oversee multiple R&D projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with industry standards and customer needs.

- Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Production, Quality Assurance, Marketing) to integrate R&D outcomes into commercial strategies and product development.

- Research Excellence: Drive cutting-edge research in material science, focusing on novel materials, processes, and applications that enhance product performance and sustainability.

- Budget Management: Develop and manage the R&D budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost-effectiveness.

- Industry Engagement: Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of innovation.

- Publications and Patents: Encourage and support the team in publishing research findings and pursuing patents to enhance the company's intellectual property portfolio.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Should be Ph.D in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field with 20+ years of research experience in material science.

- Experience in heading multiple departments within the chemical industry is preferred.
